In general, the commercial protective agents can be roughly classified into physical and chemical methods on plate layer by producing a protective skin. The protective skin, so called metal sealer, is commonly carried out by using the physical method, and various kinds of plating layer can be protected, simultaneously.
These serve six purposes:
1. to increase corrosion resistance of plate layer
2. to retard oxidation and stable the resistance as electrical contact
3. to lubricate metals and reduce corroding
4. to enhance and maintain solderability
5. Cost down of precious metals
6. to enhance the success rate of plate rework

1.It can stabilize the electrical contact resistance, especially in the high temperature of subsequent processing (such as molding). 2. Good moisture-proof, anti-corrosion and anti-salt fog ability. 3. Good lubrication. 4. Contribute to soldering ability. 5. The plating interface line is not easy to be discolored and corroded. 6. During use, low foaming. |
